    What this calculator answers

A remittance cost can be hidden in both the explicit fee and the exchange rate. This tool compares the recipient amount with a same-time reference rate supplied by the user.

Audit one or two written remittance quotes without claiming live provider prices.

    Method and calculation order

Recipient amount equals converted amount minus recipient fee. FX spread compares provider rate with entered reference rate; total sender outlay includes the sender fee.

    Worked reference example

Converting 1,000 at 0.92 with a 5 recipient fee delivers 915. Against a 0.95 reference rate, the recipient shortfall is 35 before considering delivery speed or service.

    How to use the result

Capture provider rate, fees, recipient amount, delivery method and timestamp from the same quote. Compare only like-for-like funding and delivery methods.

Open the decision and evidence guide.

    What the calculator cannot know

No live rates or provider rankings are supplied. Reference rates can move, and taxes, correspondent-bank deductions, card charges, cancellation and delivery risk are outside the model.

    Frequently asked questions

Is the cheapest quote always best?

No. Speed, certainty, reversibility, cash pickup, limits and support also matter.

    Does CalculatorGeek receive provider pricing?

No. Every quote and rate is entered by the user.
