Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This notice explains how CalculatorGeek handles information when you use our calculators, account features, website, and advertising services. For browser storage and consent controls, see our Cookie Policy.
Calculator inputs and results
Many calculations run in your browser, but some features send data to CalculatorGeek’s server. Shared-engine calculations and comparisons send the input values, selected units, and locale needed to return a result. Other calculators can send a short, calculator-defined success record to update usage and, when you are signed in, save account history. The fields in those records vary by calculator and can include result values and other calculation data. Depending on the calculator, these values may reveal health or financial information. Avoid entering names, account numbers, diagnoses, or other identifying details into calculator fields.
Saved input profiles contain a name you choose, the calculator, and numeric input values and units. A signed-in browser can also keep an offline queue containing the calculator, calculated outputs, and calculation time until those records synchronize. Successfully synchronized records are removed from the queue; failed records remain in the browser until a later successful sync or until browser storage is cleared.
When you create a server-hosted result link, CalculatorGeek stores the calculator, formula version, and calculated outputs, not the original input fields. The link expires after 30 days, expired records are removed by scheduled maintenance, and anyone with the link can view its outputs until expiry. Other tools may put settings in a shareable URL, so review any link before sending it. Downloads remain on your device unless you send them elsewhere.
Accounts and messages
If you create an account, CalculatorGeek uses your display name, email address, WordPress authentication data, saved tools, recently used tools, input profiles, calculation history, folder and pin choices, retention choice, and other workspace preferences to provide account features. Viewing a calculator or converter while signed in can add that tool to your recent activity. Signing in enables supported data to remain available across visits and devices.
Shared-engine history records contain the calculator, formula version, calculated outputs, classification when available, folder and pin status, and save time. Some non-schema calculators use the calculator-defined success record described above, so their saved fields can differ. Use the controls in your account workspace to delete individual history items, clear history, remove profiles, export available workspace data, or delete the account.
If you contact us by email or another contact method we offer, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to send. Do not send sensitive calculator data unless it is necessary to explain your request.
Website operation and performance
Website requests are processed by our hosting and security services. Requests can include an IP address, browser information, requested URL, and request time. Our performance endpoint samples page timing and layout metrics to help diagnose slow or unstable pages; its metric payload does not include calculator input fields.
Some features store information in your browser, including preferences, temporary values carried between related tools, and an offline result queue for signed-in users. See the Cookie Policy for details and controls.
Google Analytics, Ads, and AdSense
We use Google Analytics to understand website usage and Google advertising services, including AdSense, to display and measure advertising. Google Tag Manager and Site Kit help manage these integrations. These services can process device and browser information, page activity, identifiers, and advertising or analytics storage depending on the service and your choices. We do not describe all analytics data as anonymous.
On ad-supported pages, Google and advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies for advertising delivery, measurement, frequency management, and personalization where permitted. The European consent message identifies the relevant partners and purposes and provides consent, refusal, and management options.
Google’s European consent message is connected to Consent Mode for advertising and analytics. Its analytics storage signal follows the applicable storage consent choice in that message. Consent Mode can allow limited, cookieless measurement requests when storage is denied; denying storage does not necessarily mean no request reaches Google. Read how Google uses information from partner sites and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Optional Histats audience measurement
Histats audience measurement is excluded from signed-in sessions, previews, non-production environments, account and result routes, and URLs or referrers containing query or fragment values. On other eligible public pages, Histats can load automatically only when our consent service reports that European consent rules do not apply, or reports the relevant consent purpose as inapplicable, and no saved refusal or supported privacy signal blocks it. When consent is required or the region is unknown, Histats remains off unless you separately allow it through Analytics settings in the footer. A Google advertising or analytics consent grant does not grant Histats permission.
We honor a saved Histats refusal, Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track, service-specific denial, and an opt-out reported by the existing US-state consent API. The cg_histats_consent_v1 browser-storage preference records your choice and its date for 180 days. Turning Histats off prevents future loads and reloads the current page if tracking has already started; it cannot undo earlier collection or remove cookies controlled by Histats.
When allowed, Histats (Wisecode SRL) can receive device and browser information, public page visits, IP-based location, and cookies or identifiers used to recognize returning devices. Use the provider’s privacy and opt-out controls, together with your browser controls, for information or cookies held by Histats.
Read Histats’ privacy information and use its opt-out control.
Managing consent and stored information
Where Google’s European message applies, use its refusal or management options. You can reopen it through Privacy & cookie settings in the footer of an ad-supported page after the consent service is available. If you are reading a page without that service, open the homepage and use its footer control. Availability can depend on region, browser settings, and whether scripts are blocked.
You can also manage cookies and website storage in your browser, and manage Google’s advertising preferences through My Ad Center. Browser controls and Google’s advertising preferences are separate from CalculatorGeek’s consent message. Clearing browser data does not delete information saved in your account.
Retention and deletion
Calculation history remains associated with your account until you delete it or until a retention setting you have saved removes it. Available history choices are 30 days, 90 days, 1 year, or until you delete it. Scheduled cleanup applies only after a retention choice has been saved and does not delete pinned results. Input profiles are not removed by the history-retention setting.
The self-service account page and its JSON and CSV exports currently retrieve up to 250 history records, prioritizing pinned records and then recent records. Older history can remain stored until it is removed by your saved retention choice, clear-history action, privacy erasure, or account deletion. Contact support@calculatorgeek.com if you need access to information that is not present in the self-service export.
Server-hosted result links become unavailable after 30 days and expired records are removed by scheduled maintenance. Successfully synchronized offline results are removed from the browser queue; you can also remove the queue through browser storage controls.
You can delete an individual result, clear all calculation history, delete an input profile, use the WordPress privacy-request process, or permanently delete your account. Account deletion removes the WordPress account and its CalculatorGeek history and workspace metadata.
External services and links
Hosting, email, analytics, and advertising providers process information needed for their services. Following an external link, using a social-sharing service, or opening a third-party account brings that provider’s own privacy terms into scope. Providers may process information in countries other than your own; review their notices for their safeguards and practices.
Privacy requests
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, or to withdraw consent. Send a request to support@calculatorgeek.com. We may need information to verify that a request concerns your account. You can also contact your local privacy authority where applicable.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through an account or a message, contact us so we can review it. No website can guarantee absolute security; avoid saving or sharing information you would not want others to see.
Changes and contact
We will update the date above when this notice changes. For questions about information handling, use support@calculatorgeek.com or our contact page.
