Convert dimensions to a consistent unit before multiplying. For feet, cubic feet = length ft x width ft x depth ft; cubic yards = cubic feet / 27. Tons = volume x density / pounds per ton under the selected ton definition. Keep short-ton and metric-ton outputs distinct.

Compacted depth is not loose lift depth
Plans commonly specify a finished compacted thickness. Placement may use multiple lifts, and loose material consolidates during rolling. A simple calculator cannot determine mix design, lift plan or compaction factor unless those inputs are explicitly provided.
Ordering and cost boundary
Waste, irregular edges, base condition, handwork and supplier minimums affect delivered quantity. Cost per ton does not include every delivery, mobilization, tack coat, milling, base repair or labor charge. Confirm tonnage and truck scheduling with the paving contractor or plant.
