What this calculator covers

This calculator deliberately separates two intents: a personal Zakat planning worksheet with asset categories, liabilities, nisab and hawl inputs; and a statutory deduction estimate for covered Pakistan bank accounts using the versioned 2026 SBP threshold.

Important: PKR 503,529 is the statutory bank-deduction threshold for the notified 2026 cycle, not a universal religious nisab for every personal asset portfolio.

How the result is calculated

Personal mode totals cash, precious metals, investments, inventory, receivables and other entered assets, subtracts eligible short-term liabilities, then tests the entered personal nisab and hawl confirmation. Bank mode compares the covered account balance with PKR 503,529 and suppresses automatic deduction when a valid exemption declaration is selected.

Worked check: PKR 900,000 of net personal assets above the confirmed nisab produces PKR 22,500 at 2.5%.

How to use the result

Confirm the valuation date, asset eligibility, liabilities and religious method applicable to you.

Important boundaries

Asset classification and school-specific treatment are matters for qualified religious guidance, not inferred by this calculator.

The calculator deliberately does not infer exemptions, undocumented facts, provincial liabilities, credits, minimum-tax interactions or professional conclusions that its inputs cannot establish.

Primary sources

The statutory-bank mode uses State Bank of Pakistan Circular Letter No. 03 of 2026 and its attached notification. Personal asset classification remains methodology-dependent. Calculation, content, and browser checks were completed on September 20, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is PKR 503,529 the nisab for every Zakat calculation?

No. It is the notified 2026 threshold for compulsory deduction from covered savings, profit-and-loss-sharing and similar bank accounts. Personal Zakat may use a different dated gold or silver nisab and different asset rules.

What does personal planning mode include?

It totals the entered cash, precious metals, investments, inventory, receivables and other assets, subtracts eligible short-term liabilities, and tests the personal nisab and hawl confirmation.

What does an exemption declaration do in bank mode?

It estimates that no automatic deduction is made. The bank controls whether the declaration is valid, timely and applicable to the account.

Does this decide religious eligibility?

No. Asset classification, liability treatment, hawl and school-specific questions require qualified religious guidance.
