Direct answer

WISC-V Age Calculator calculates exact chronological age on the entered assessment date.

It also compares completed calendar months with the public 6:0 through 16:11 WISC-V range. Passing that check does not determine whether the assessment is appropriate for a particular person.

Formula and method

Exact assessment age = assessment date - date of birth using real calendar years, months, and days.

The calculator subtracts completed calendar years, then completed months, then the remaining days. It also exposes the exact Y;M;D code. It does not divide elapsed days by average year or month lengths.

Worked example

A birth date of March 14, 2018 and assessment date of September 7, 2026 produces 8 years, 5 months, 24 days, written 8;05;24.

Leap years, month ends, and other edge cases

Leap years are handled by actual calendar dates, so February can contribute 28 or 29 days. Calendar years and months are completed units; total days are an elapsed-midnight count. For a February 29 birth date, a legal or institutional birthday rule may differ from pure date arithmetic in a non-leap year.

Use this page before the official WISC-V workflow

Use this calculator to check the date arithmetic. Then consult the current WISC-V manual or official scoring platform for administration, rounding, norms, scoring, and interpretation. Use the general test age calculator when no specific product page is needed.
